Excellent care requires excellent people
Every person in our Practice is essential to your care so we endeavour to recruit, train and retain the best people. Everyone who joins us understands our expectations and receives regular training and personal development to ensure we all share the same ethos of putting our patients at the heart of everything we do.
By providing a caring environment for everyone, we engender loyalty. As the saying goes – we don’t expect loyalty, we earn it. Our practice is part of Rodericks Dental, a company with over 65 practices across the country. We are different because our company is run by dentists – for patients.
I have been in general dental practice for over 25 years and I have been in Carterton for more than 16 years. I really enjoy working as a general practitioner and I enjoy working for Rodericks.
I qualified in 2005 from Birmingham university and completed my VT training in Ludlow. I acquired the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS Eng) in 2011. I have worked in private, hospital and NHS practices. I enjoy helping anxious patients and children gaining confidence in the dentist.
I joined the team in May 2016. I graduated from Kings College London in 2012. Since graduating I have been awarded the postgraduate Diploma for Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (Royal College of Surgeons London). I have also completed a certified Implant Course, allowing me to carry out implant surgery. I have worked in several dental practices within a dental practice group in Essex, providing NHS and private dentistry. I have a keen interest in cosmetic treatments including smile makeovers, cosmetic braces, cosmetic dentures and facial rejuvenation. I am dedicated to providing high quality and up to date dentistry. I ensure I keep up to date with the latest innovations in dentistry to allow me to offer these to my patients. I have a kind, caring nature and enjoys helping nervous patients overcome their fears and helping patients achieve optimal oral health. When I am not at work, I enjoy keeping fit and spending time with family and friends, alongside running my own dental practice with my husband.
Having qualified from Cardiff University in 2013 where I obtained my BDS (Hons), I have always wanted to come back home and therefore I now work in Oxford and now Carterton. I have obtained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) via the MFDS RCS(Ed) qualification, completed a course in short term orthodontics ( QST- braces) and I am keen to pursue my interest in Implant/cosmetic dentistry in the near future. I enjoy all aspects of Dentistry but specifically cosmetic dentistry and treating nervous patients, where I aim to build their confidence and trust. I like to have a good balance in life and outside Dentistry I love to play any sports, in particular football and golf.
I trained and qualified in the RAF, serving for 5 years before moving into general practice. I provide Dental Hygienist services to the practice on a part time basis. Over the years there have been many changes to my profession keeping it fresh, exciting and enabling me to develop new skills. Its great to meet people from all walks of life, help them achieve a healthy mouth and happy smile or overcome dental anxiety. For relaxation I love to cook, sail in my Wayfarer dinghy at a local sailing club and trying to tame my garden.

I started working at Carterton Dental Practice in March 2017 and I am currently working towards my Diploma in Dental Nursing. I am really enjoying my training & looking forward to my new career.
I have been working in Dentistry for over 9 years now and have enjoyed my career immensely. I started as a Dental Nurse at Carterton in 2011 working with Dr Edney and progressed to Practice Manager in 2014. Although I do miss nursing and being able to ‘shut off’ when I go home, I have a fantastic team who make it all worthwhile. I work full time at the practice and juggle my work with being a mother to a cheeky 2 year old Phoebe who keeps me on my toes! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and shopping!
